Hey guys! Was doing a long smoke the other night and felt for a little "snack" :heh: Grabbed a couple lamb chops and seasoned them up with some EVOO kosher salt, black pepper,rosemary, garlic and pepper flakes and vacu-packed it for an hour to speed things up:

The snack hit the spot for sure! Gave us back about 2 more Appletons worth! :shocked::bow: Needless to say it was a good night!

Oh, boy! That looks great! I've gotta get me one of those FoodSaver things. I was looking at them today. Which one do you have, Phrasty?

There is nothing like doing lamb chops in the firebox when you're on a long smoke. I've done that many times and I believe that lamb is like the best of all!

Phrasty you are killing me with your lamb "snacks"! I love lamb but it costs so much over here that I need to sell a car or something to buy it.

Those are some awfully fine lamb chops, Phrasty!

I haven't seen the ones with the tails like you grilled up since I was a kid, but I remember how good they were when my Mom cooked them up under the broiler.

That really looks great! I can almost taste it......$38 per kilo here too Marty, and it is our national meat!:mad:

It's a scam, our nation is locked up by a couple of national chains, when I get out into farm country I can buy it for 1/3 that price!:icon_devil

Damn right Buccs, it's farkin thievery on every level. However, last time I got lamb loin chops I went to my meatatarium (http://www.tasmanretail.com.au/)and they had lamb loin chops at $9.99 a kilo.

It's the only time I've bought them outside of buying a whole side of lamb, which is generally what I do.

Lamb isnt all that cheap out here either. Not sure the exact price though.
