Inject, rub or both

I didn't brine my turkey. Now I want to inject it with creole butter and put butter and rub under the skin. Should I do both or is that too much? Should I also put some rub/butter on the skin? Thanks.

it should be fine as long as your rub is complimentary to poultry.. I'd also suggest not overdoing either.. balance will be important,.
