You'd need some really long tongs to work that thing without burnin yer face off - but it is awesome!

You have got to wonder if that is why he is selling it?

neat but weird. nice concept, but seems incomplete without said lid mentioned above.

Great for serious high volume sales. Last year there was one similar to this design in the town center doing several types of sausages during the Christmas shopping season.

The price of metal is pretty good rite now, he should just sell it as junk iron because that is all it is.

I've seen numerous food channel shows of bbq places using big open pits , cooking everything they sell on it. I think it's cool. If you needed something for lrg. gatherings . or had a few acres and invited friends over frequently , I can see that being a great piece of equip. Some of us do open fire-pit cooking , and that would be great!:clap2:Also, our town has a fall fun festival , and some groups are cooking copius amounts of rib-ehe's and chops for sandwiches. That pit would be great for those selling that item.:-P

Went to a joint up in Ohio (I think, it was 10 years and many mile ago) called "Dressed to Grill". They had a grill bigger than that (though rectangular) in the middle of the room. You picked your steak, they weighed it, then YOU seasoned and grilled it in the middle of the restaurant. It was paradise. They had cocktails and you just pulled up a stool and had waitress service at the grill.

It's a grill, why would you need a lid? :thumb:

Maybe you could mod a Weber kettle lid to fit?

even if it had a lid, how would you take it off. you would burn your bread basket off trying to take it off

& if you did take it off, where would you set it down?

Theres a grill bigger than that one they use to fry chicken in down in Crisfield at the chicken festival....jus sayin, they're out there. If ya ever had a grease fire you'd most likely have to call the fire department:laugh:
