I am excited. I will be smoking some bone in, skin on chicken breasts. I will be using my 18.5" weber kettle with stubbs charcoal and hickory for smoke.

Rubs used will be Montreal chicken and Lawry's brand Perfect Blend Chicken and Poultry for my wife's chicken breast. (My wife is not as excited about all these new flavors I am loving and I am using an old friend to appease her. Montreal seasoning blends are very familiar to our palettes)

My chicken will have a combination of Oakridge's Secret Weapon Pork and Chicken and the All Purpose Game Bird and Chicken rub.

Glaze will be Sticky Fingers Carolina Sweet and some Tiger sauce mixed in for a touch of heat.

Sides will be: Hasselback potatoes seasoned with butter, minced fresh onion and garlic, and Zatrain's Blackening seasoning.

Steamed broccoli with tons of melted Velveeta and of course salt and pepper for seasoning.

I am excited because I finally have half a day off and have time to season the food and allow it to infuse while I go to school, get home early and cook a beautiful meal. :clap2:

What do y'all have going for today.

My package was sitting on my steps when I got home yesterday. Hope to do some wings and ribs and whatever this weekend. We have a Luau this weekend so that will give me a perfect chance to see what others think.

Today? No. Yesterday? Yes. A couple of chickens brined, coated with some SYD APR, and smoked. So moist, you could have a squeezed a breast and juice would have squirted out...:rain:

If I drank that would probably be good. (Although I hate both tomato juice and I don't drink booze. )

My father in law and brother in law will be having bloody mary's made with HDD though. I am a decent bar tender and my father in law loves a hot bloody mary. I usually use just horse radish so this time it will get a bit of the good stuff too.

Oh man, you had to go there Hoss. Some of my favorite foods!! I would not necessarily put those on at the same time but dang, they are all right up there with my faves!!

I used the Oakridge Game Bird and Chicken on the veg tonight (ended up with zucchini) and man it was so awesome! I bet it would rock that pumpkins world!!!

What did you do with the claw meat? Anything special? Lobster roll? Dipped in butter and lemon? I have never seen them for sale without the rest of the lobster but if I see them I think I will be grabbing them!

Lobster slider. That's a new one for me. I have been craving lobster lately as it has been quite a while since I have had one.

I wish it was me eating lobster. However I did enjoy some bone in, skin on chicken breast rubbed with Oakridge BBQ Secret Weapon Pork and Chicken.

Was some of the best chicken ever to enter my big fat mouth......:becky: I sure did like it and spending time with my family was even better!!
