Did a few new things today. First was using my iQue 110 on the BGE. I've run it many times on my other cookers, but got the egg adapter last week and finally got to give it a whirl. It works like a charm.
Then this was my first time cooking rib tips (or any ribs) in a non BBQ flavor. Not sure why I haven't prior to now, but I wanted something different tonight. So did teriyaki marinade and damn I may actually make these more now than using bbq rub and sauce. They marinaded for about 4hrs and I smoked them at 225 for a little over 4hrs. I hit them with a teriyaki glaze at the end, which was just more of the teriyaki sauce and some honey. Super juicy and great flavor.
Last doesn't really relate to the ribs, but it did occur while I was cooking them and relates to competitions. I have been looking for a cheap utlility sink to bring to comps for a while with no great deals on craigslist, until today. Literally 30mins into the cook I did my daily cl search and saw one up for $35 and it looked damn new. Called the guy who was about 30mins away and said I would see him shortly. Told my wife I'd be back in an hour and to make sure nothing burned down :-P. So we will now have a sink!
Here they are just put on.

Here's the sink. It is really nice. Not sure how long the guy used it, but it was very clean.
