I finally found a used Lang 60 Deluxe. It comes with a 2 ft. Chargrill, a Stoker & fan, and a spare tire. I'm going to pick it up this weekend!

I am pretty excited, but for somebody who is used to cooking on a UDS, I feel like I am going to have to learn how to Q all over again...

It'll be fun. You can start off lighting it with a Minion style approach so you'll feel right at home.

Check some of the sticky threads for fire control. Small, hot and clean fire works best.

You better start looking for wood!!

That just crossed my mind. I thought of calling some local fruit orchards to see if I can get some of there Fall trimmings. I think that I could get a lot of Cherry & Apple wood that way. (For next year anyway...)

Congrats on getting a new smoker. You are embarking on a fun journey; enjoy it and have fun learning to use the Lang. IMO, BBQ cooked on a stick burner has better flavor than when charcoal or lump is in the mix. So, go get that smoker!

Congrats!!! If you don't mind, how much did you have to give for a used one? Just curious as I may be in the market for one at the first of the year.

I'm curious to know this info also. Are you getting the new design with the "flat ends" or the "propane tank" look? How old is it and how much did it cost you?

Also, how did you find it?
Thanks!!!!!!
