Well the needle of my injector went down into the garbage disposal and now it has a 90 degree bend it in. Gives me a reason to buy a new one :becky:

Any suggestions on a new one? Whatever I had was just an el cheapo.

I use the Cajun Deluxe Injector.

I buy two at the beginning of competition season and they last me all year. Probably about $10.00 each now.

I have the Bayou Classic 2-Ounce Stainless-Steel Seasoning Injector. Go on amazon and search marinade injector. There were several reasonable high comments about this product. I just got it in the mail yesterday, so I have not had time to use it. It is very solid and looks like it will last. Maybe something to look into. Good luck!

Any place that sells cattle or horse feed should have them.

Agree with the spitjack. Had one for 5 years, just bought a new one.

Also, just brined/injected over 400 Hamhocks with this bad puppy. For BIG loads, this was nothing short of amazing

From Allied Kenco (but it's pricey):

I like the cajun injector they don't seem to clog as much as others I've used.

And for 20 bucks less than the Spitjack, for the same injector. The only difference is the needle with holes on the side. If the needle is that important to you, get the barrel and plunger at the farm and barn and order the needle from spitjack. Pretty sure you can find those needles too, they use them on the farm for forcing cattle to take an oral medication.

I do know this.

If you inject meats with a used clean injector, it will streak the meat, unless it's been sterilized, I don't have the time to do that, so I just go to a cattle/horse/vet store and get a disposable injector and needle and use that, throw away when done. It's super inexpensive and one less thing to clean.

I bought one of these and the pressure will leak down around where it screws into the bottle. Maybe just a small bump in the seat area of the bottle, not sure. However, while it has pressure it works fine.

Mine was doing that as well, replaced the o-ring, and its better, dont remember the size, but got a thicker one.

Looking at the split jack, I see 1/8 and 3/8 inch tips. Which? Both?
