The L.A. BBQ Festival is this weekend in Santa Monica. (Mods, this is not a contest)

There will be several pitmasters from around the country coming to show off their wares. If you are in the L.A. area, you should come and check it out.

Sounds like a lot of fun and a lot of work!!! Knowing Bigmista BBQ i'm sure everything will turn out good!

Stopped by around 6:00 last night. The crowd had thinned out and the weather was perfect. I thought this was closer to the promenade but it was right next to the pier in the parking lot. Anyways, got to sample all the Q and talk with a lot of the teams including BigMista who was serving up some of the best Q out of everyone there. Great brisket! Also got to try his pig candy for the first time and loved every bite.
