Picked up a bottle during the week. Marinated pork chops in it during the week and they were fantastic. Only had time for a 1 hr marinade job but it was flavorful.

Has anyone used it as a pork, beef or chicken injection. Thinking about injecting a butt with the Mojo Sunday, but wanted some opinions first.

I think smoke overpowers the Mojo. It doesn't really rock my world per se, and I've tried a couple other brands besides Goya. Add some fresh onion and garlic slices to the marinade.

The Goya Chipotle Mojo is more to my liking.

Man that looks great. havent attempted a whole hog yet. I almost grabbed the chipotle, but most of my family (the women) don't like heat.

Cajuns that don't like heat? Never heard of such a thing.

Cajun heat ain't the same as southwestern heat. Cajun heat sneaks up on you. You sit there and enjoy the layers of flavor, and suddenly realize you are sweating.

That's the sign of real cajun cooking. :thumb:

wow these posts move quickly down the line

here is a thread about using the mojo for cuban sandwiches

I did two butts, the first went to the cuban sandwich hurricane fest (yummy)

the second butt fed us for the first two days without power

I even mixed it with bbq sauce at the kids' request

go for it

male cajuns like the heat. It's the women that can't handle it. So I try to walk the fine line when it comes to spices. It's unfortunate but tolerable.

I'm more of a flavor guy vs heat. I prefer sweet heat.

Never injected before but I think it would work very well.
StuPh is very tasty!

Think I'm going to give it a try. But that depends on TS Lee. This MF is pounding S. Louisiana with a ton of rain. Not sure if will be able to smoke anything.

I like using it for marinading chicken and skirt steak for tacos.

I mix it half and half with orange juice, and marinate my butts overnight in the fridge in it. I have NEVER had anyone complain that they didn't like the end result.

I use it for marinating chicken, and guests always rave about the flavor. I have also used on skirt steak, haven't tried it on a butt.

I have some chicken marinating in it. Will cook for lunch. Will post an update later.
