Did these a day early to miss Irene, will be served for our Fantasy Football draft tomorrow......hopefully. Put them on last night at 9:30, held steady at 225 most of the time. First time I didn't use water, went with a terra cota saucer.....not sure why I didn't listen to you guys before. It worked great. I've cleaned my last bowl of greasy water!:clap2: Also the first time I sprayed the butts down with apple juice various times during the smoke. It seemed to really help with the bark. Finally reached 190 at 4:30 this afternoon.....19 hours later....but it was well worth it. Thanks to all who replied to my questions in the earlier thread, and a big thanks to big brother smoke for getting his rubs to me in record time this week...they are awesome!!

Super bark. My bark never looks like that . Looks very crispy. Was it?

What temp & how long? My bark is usually kind of soft.

Does the Simply Marvelous Cherry BBQ Rub have a cherry flavor?

I see some grill marks on top. Do you flip them half way through the cook?
