View Full Version : Salami, Sage, & Capicolla Pizza

I thought I would make a slightly different pizza this time, so picked up some cappicola and salami as part of a variety pack at TJ's. I also had a big chunk of Parmagiano Reggiano I thought might also make a good addition:

After I proofed the dough for about 20 mins, I hand stretched to a full round:

Then topped with homemade sauce:

Then topped with mozzarella and parmesan:

The pizza was really delicious, and I liked how the two meats played off the fresh sage. Definitely will be doing this again!

That has got to be great, salami and coppa....Paleeze. My two favorites in a pie:-D

That is a thing of beauty!! So how did you cook it?

I actually cooked this one in the oven. I have a granite stone that works great, and heated the oven to 550 for one hour before I put the pie on.
