How long do u usually keep em on? I'm cookin em at 265

Also. do u put em directly onto the smoker or should I lay em out on foil and put the foil in thr smoker?

We put them directly on the grate. Guessing around 45 minutes. Look after about 30 just in case.

I put them straight on the grill and the toothpicks help hold them upright. Anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour is probably good. I just go until the pepper and bacon are fully cooked. This is a pretty forgiving item when it comes to cook times. I've left them in too long before and they're still really good.

Until the bacon is crisp. I usually cook them indirect and use a rack purchased at Academy Sports. (I love that store)

I do them indirect (but close to the coals) on my kettle with lump when getting ready to do steaks or burgers and it only takes about 30 minutes in that sort of heat.
