I've been grilling on gas... I had no idea. :tsk:
tonight I let the mister cook on the new OTG... (I stood nearby and closely supervised) as HIS gas grill was out of gas. :heh:

he threw a couple burgers on and when he finished I tossed a few brats on, really only to cook them as I hated to waste a perfectly good fire. I typically don't enjoy the brats (all cooked on gas previously)

wow.. they were GOOD. as were the burgers again. I don't think I like letting the Mister touch my cooker but I DO like this better than gas thus far.

Then don't let him.
Tell him "Get the fark out of here and go buy your own kettle!"
Brats. Real fire. MMmm. Is more better, no?

There is a place for gas, under the charcoal lighter :becky:

I kid, I still use gas for hurry-up cooking. But, there is nothing like wood

it's pretty much already a done deal he'll be getting his own smoker and probably before the year is over. I don't think he'll give up gas though for a kettle. he's toooo impatient. (he'll cook something on the gas while he waits for the smoker I'm guessing lol )

Wait 'till you have a ribeye cooked over charcoal or wood.

My good friend just told me a short while ago... Meat cooks with wood fire! Don't try to change this! So here I am still cooking on my two Webers...
