Newbie here with a Gourmet ECB. I have smoked Pork Butts a couple of times for pulled pork with success, but I'm still getting familiar with the smoker.

Any suggestions on what I should try next?

Gotta go for some ribs or chicken. Save the brisket for later when you have a few more cooks under your belt. And of course, you have to make some Certified Moink Balls !

Definitely chicken - or a turkey if you have the time. Ribs next and then into the more exotic items. Glad to hear about your success on the butts - now let's see some pics of those fantastic cooks!

Try a UDS? Sorry, had to say it. As the others have suggested, keep it more simple until you get a good feel for the cooker. If you want beef, do a chuckie. Cook it similar to butts and it will be a little more forgiving than brisket.

that would be MOINK balls for certification...

go for a brisky...throw the fatty on there for chits and giggles.

Can't go wrong with a couple of beercan chickens and a fatty.

Best way to break in a new smoker!

Thanks for the info! I have a couple packages of chicken quarters in the freezer, guess they are next!

I've been thinking about a fatty, but would like to hear ideas of what to serve with the fatty.
