View Full Version : First U.D.S cook kinda over night

Well i built my first U.D.S and the first cook is on right now and its pork butt i putt it on at 1:00Am thinkin it should be done at around 9 and if i screwed it up it gives me enough time for plan "b" ( a pizza) its cookin at 250 and i will have PRON when its done wish me luck for its the first time ive used this thing. The Molsens and the pretzels are going down very well.

How big's your butt?
I don't go by time. I wait for the temp to tell when it it done. Don't forget about letting it rest. Good lucky. Remember, you're having fun.

Well the IT was 195 at 6:00 so i pulled it and i hadn't peeked all night wrapped it tin foil and two towels and i think it turned out very well pics to follow soon.

That a good way to do it is start early in the morning and try to catch a few ZZ

Well here they are the pics dont lie i have to say iam quite happy with the results iam however a little taken back with how much weight cooked out of it. It started out at 5.3lbs and finished out at 3.02lbs
