I made this little video to show the newbies in a party I am going to have on how to cook some BBQ on their own with their backyard smokers.

I met John on the virtual weber board and used his equipment since I haven't built my UDS yet.

First time cooking on the UDS. My friend really had a ton of coal in his basket and it was over 260 the entire cook which was fine with me since when I build my UDS I am going to make some ribs at 275-300 and see how they turn out.

At my age, long cooks are a thing of the past. I've moved on. I always cook my ribs ate 275F and no one ever knows the difference.

That is great to hear.

Do you cook them all the way through or do you foil?
