The reason I ask was a coworker ask me about smoking chocolate and every since My wheels have been spinning. Just this weekend I made a cold smoker with a small clay pot, wood burner and hickory chips, it works great. Sunday I smoked a bunch of cheese and a ground pork log I cured with some buckboard bacon cure, Tuesday I smoked some Almonds.
I was thinking a high grade chocolate like Garidalies semi sweet with high coco content and maybe some chocolate covered nuts or raisins mite work. I would love to do up some reeses peanutbutter cups but unless I can keep it a very cold smoke they may melt away. Monday I sliced the bacon pork log and grilled it, then added it to a grilled chuck burger topped with some of the smoked Swiss cheese and a grilled jap, all I can say is it was outstanding.
What other kinds of nuts would be good smoked? I have pics of all this except the burgers but they are on my cell phone and I have not figured out how to load them to the computer yet but I will.

I would think cashews would handle smoke well. After the smoke, dust them with chipolte(sp) powder. Just thinking.
