Had a buddy weld some new camp cookware up for me just in time for camping this weekend!

Had lotsa fun using it too!

18" diameter tractor plow disc with some used horse shoes welded on. Seasoned it up and made breakfast!

godda love a seasoned steel cooking surface - dozen eggs scrambled and no sticking! :thumb:

fried up a lake trout and still no sticking!

I also had him weld up the expanded metal grate that you see the plow disc setting on, it has fixed legs right now but will soon have fold up legs so that it stows flat.

Some other camping food pics - I always bring the weber one touch platinum along!

So let me get this straight: I'm stuck here in 98-farkin'-degree heat and you're dressed in jackets. And you're showing off that sandwich. I don't care about a bunch of farkin' eggs. I want the sandwich. Yeah, the chicken looks great too, but I REALLY want the sandwich, THAT SANDWICH.

Incidentally, I had some homemade canadian bacon come off the smoker right about the same time, I figured a couple slices on top couldn't hurt...

You ate them both, didn't you? Please tell me you didn't eat them both... No, I know you ate them both... farker. I'd take the one on the right, but I think I hate you because I know you ate them both and you probably ate that one first. And you just had to pull out that Canadian bacon to rub my nose in it. Farker! You really didn't eat them both, did you? Yeah, no sense in even asking... and don't even think I can't see that beer! :tsk:

And doesn't the food always seem to taste better too? There are some things we don't even attempt to make at home anymore cause they just taste better when camping.

the chimney was definitely cool, when I heard about doing it from a friend I knew that I had to try it... Only problem was the only decent hollow log we could find was the current home of 4 very adorable coyote pups...

We decided to use chainsaws to cut a square out of the middle of a downed spruce, worked pretty good!
Nothing says peace & quiet like the sound of 3 big Stihl saws howling their way through log after log!! :heh:

Yeah she's pretty dang cute... a handfull tho! I think God deliberately made puppies and kittens that cute so that you couldn't strangle them for all the things they do to hack you off! None of them would make it past 6 months old if they looked like adults...

Yeah, around here cooking over the campfire grate would mean 2 things - 1) waaaaayyyy smaller fire - that's not acceptable. 2) cooking over fir and pine fires - also not acceptable - BLECH!!!

Got me thinking now... what do some of you folks bring as must-have camping cookware?

Not that I really need to bring even more crap with me when camping... As it is, once loaded up it's hard to tell if I'm headed to the dump, moving or going camping...
