Brethren, my friend, Rev. Ken Kelly is looking to buy a quality used trailered smoker. Nice looking, not too much fire maintenance required. Large capacity - looking to do 60 racks of ribs at a time.

He's in PA, but would drive as far as midwest state.

He will be using it to cook Q to raise money for local vets and other charities.

If anyone has a line on something like this for sale, please let me know.

Thanks.

His FB post:

We do a tremendous amount of food preparation here and feel that we should AT LEAST put 30% of each dollar of profit we make back into the community. My own belief is that God can worry about the day to day operating costs of the church; our task is to take care of people in need.

This year we happen to be focusing on Veterans. We are currently trying to underwrite the cost of a 4500.00 smoker to use at our festival. 40 cents of every dollar of profit will go toward returning veterans in our community-rent, help with bills, food, whatever. If you're looking for a worthy project to help out with, please contact me through e-mail.

I have experienced mercy in my own life and perhaps you have. I'm also a Vet who happens to believe that no one who goes abroad for this country's defense should ever return and have to starve, or be unable to get a prescription filled. Again, if you can help, contact me via e-mail.

Thanks-

Ken

Meadowcreek is an excellent manufacture in PA (New Holland, PA) And they build a variety of styles and sizes. I'd recommend them.

I also build pits. Mine are reverse flow and we are working on 2 standardized sizes right now with more to come in the future.

Just look in classified under bbq and smokers. Several that might work for him.

Smokin Turkey, I knew you did smokers, and great grates and other things, too. Can you do something in his price range?

I think this was what he meant on that site.

No problem here. Not sure about the one with sinks etc. It was a little higher than his price range. Surely he can find one closer than these.

Let me look into how much room you need. I don't personally cook many ribs at one time so I need to ask about that one. I could possibly have something in that size. PM me a phone number and I'll let you know what I can do.

Not trailered but this looks like a good deal in Middle Tennessee. It looks to have a huge capacity. Not sure what a trailer that this would fit on would go for though.

It has been for sale for a while now so he might take considerably less.
