I thought I might be as bold as to try to start a new tradition, in the sprit of "Hey Farkers!...It's Friday...What's Smokin' This Weekend?"

This thread is, "Hey farkers, show us your weekend pr0n."

I did me up some baby backs I got on sale. Here is a quick shot I took before diving into them. Just a dusting of Salt Lick rub, and a few hours of smoking on the WSM over Kingsford Blue and some apple wood chunks. I gave them a light glaze of SBR while still hot off the smoker. Had to wash my hands before typing this post. YUM!

I showed you mine, now you show me yours.

It just occurred to me, that if this catches on, I'm going to have to do this every farking weekend. Just what I need, another farking commitment that doesn't pay anything.:laugh:

Wife left me home alone for the weekend. So, I took the opportunity to smoke a rack of BB's with SM Sweet & Spicy. No before photos, but I put a nice heavy coat one. :-P Along with a JD Hot & Spicey rolled in SM Cherry.

My wife is usually in charge of sides. It got time for the ribs to come off, and I realized I hadn't made anything to go with my ribs and fattie... I guess I'm going to have to call the fattie my side. :heh:

It was tasty.

I got another rack of BB in the fridge for tomorrow. :-D

Great Idea for a Thread! Everyone looks like they fed themselves well!

I did my first Turkey on the UDS today and added a small Pork Butt with it.

Here is the bird...

Round 2.

Sunday morning. This is my first time with left-over fattie. So, I tried my hand at one of those bagel, egg, fattie, cheese sandwiches. Tasty, but I need to do a few more of these to perfect it.

Round 3, Sunday Night

More BB ribs. This time with Rib Co Competition blend. Drive me nuts, the ribs I did on Saturday to 4 hours to cook, these were done in 3 hours at basically the same temps. I'm glad I checked at 3 hours. Tasty.

I wish I had taken more pics of this weekend's family get together. Lots o' cookin, but these are the only two pics I had time to take.

P.S. This was our first hack at open pit roasting. The meat was very moist and tender but surprisingly light on smoke considering the amount of smoke that the fire put out.

It was just me and my kids, so I get it simple. I did a beer can chicken, indirect with some Royal Oak and apple wood. Ran at 350 for a little over two hours, very solid at holding temps since I extended the chimney to grate level...
