That looks to be an 84 Deluxe. The doors on both sides are the give-away on that. $4,200 for a new one plus shipping, so close to $5,000 for a shiny new one.

Yep Thats a Lang 84, mine has a grill where the wood box is now. Before painting maybe spay it with pam and fire her up to re-season it, might bring the shine back? Anyway a nice unit good luck.

84 or older 1160. Either way it's a steal if it's under $2k.

Watch out for the "crapsmanship" on that bad boy...They may cook nice but they are put together like crap....I'd give a grand or under for it. just my .02

Not sure what that means... I have owned 2 Langs and there was never a problem with the build or "crapsmanship" as you call it... Do you have a story you wish to share ??

I'm there with 'ya Mike. I've only had the one, and from what I can tell it's one of the very first 84's to ever be produced. They called it an 1160 back then. It's still cooking great, and it's not falling apart.

Good luck and I hope you are able to pick up this Lang 84 for a good price.

I have two Langs and can tell you they are great cookers and fun to use.

I can't put a price on the cooker as that is really up to you and what you are willing to pay.

Here are some pictures of a 84” Lang I used, yes I am sure it is a Lang and yes it cooked fine but like I said it is not put together good. I would NEVER let something looking like this come out of my shop. It tells me that he is more worried about making money then turning out a good product…. functionality wise they are fine.

Never seen a Lang in real life but I have notice some rough weld and poor fit up from picture , but of course that have nothing to do with the cooking ability of it. Actually some of their pit looks like something come from our shop at school. if those picture were from a Lang there no excuse for them to look like that especially if you pais 3 grand for it. But like I said it have nothing to do woth it being a good smoker.

Don't forget the 6% buyers premium on top of that, that puts the winning $$ up over $3200.

What? Your auctions the buyer pays the premium? Around here the seller gets the auction price less the fees. That's for auctions from guns, farm equipment, and estate sales.
