View Full Version : Some recent pies

Made up some same day dough (which I rarely do anymore, as I prefer longer, cold ferments), but these came out pretty good and had decent oven spring. I then had a hankering for a breakfast pizza with eggs, venison sausage and bacon, and cooked him in the home oven this morning....same dough for both, but I slapped the 2 pepperoni skins to cook on my LBE and did not do that (wanted a thicker crust) for the breakfast pie

I'll hit a slice of each. Great air pockets in that dough. I can hear the crunch from here!:thumb:

Those look delicious. I like the breakfast pizza idea. All of these pizza threads lately are killing me. I'm going to have to try it out for myself soon.

Thanks fellas! I had made a few changes to my lbe (I tried using my primo pizza stone with a diffuser under it again) and the results, while edible, were not near as good as when I use fb for the hearth, so I went back to fb for these...I am quite surprised at the breakfast pizza...one of my better efforts in the home oven..I will definitely do it again
