The latest addition to my family.

Little Joe :-D

Took quite a bit of work to bring little Joe to it's former glory, arrived on my doorstep all rusted and worn. Turned out pretty nice, couldn't get a close up shot of the vent but it's N stamped.

Little Joe was so pleased, some wings were in order :-D

I used a slightly modified version of Smiter Q's wing recipe (http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90702&highlight=homemade+mayo)

I might be getting a Joe next week at a local auction. Hoping I can get it for under $5. It looks just like yours with the wood handle, but it has what appears to be aluminum legs/ashpan. I just wanted it for something to put my chimney on, but it's nice to know that it can cook well too. Great for taking to a park to grill on.

Aw, he's cute! Nice job, both on those wings, and that sweet little BBQ. :becky:

Thanks everyone.
I think that the handle came up great, I hand sanded it as I was trying to keep the Weber logo and then used marine varnish to seal.

The next mod to do would be something to keep the charcoal grate in place, as there is no lip or tags to keep steady, have to be careful when dumping the hot coals in as the grate tends to slip around.

Overall a great little cooker :thumb:

The wings were a hit and will have to do them again, have a few left over that are destined for lunch (if they last that long).

Good lookin' grub for sure. I have the exact same one, almost. Darn thing would snuff out the coals with the lid on so I drilled 3 more holes in the top & 2 more in the bottom. Works a lot better now. Cheers!!!
