A guy at work brought this in to show me. He bought it 8+ years ago at a Cracker Barrel for ~$35 and has never used it. I asked him to sell it but he won't let it go. It's so cool, I need one! I did some google searches but can't find anything. I've seen a similar one in terra cotta online and at Cost Plus World Market but this thing is cast iron. I'm obsessed with collecting things to cook on. I have no need for this, but it'd look really cool on my patio table and maybe I'd use it every now and then for burgers or something... maybe? I think I'm sick in the head.
The coffee mug is for perspective.
Just wanted to share this unique little cooker.

Yup, the only thing I can find is a cast iron piggy grill press.
I bet if I run to the ATM and come back with cash in hand he takes it...:becky:
I have a ton of little pig thingees around the house - but that right there is farkin' cool! If you run across any amount of them, holler!

Here's the terra cotta grill I've seen. Not as cool, though!

Very cool. I tried the same thing, after 20 google and ebay searches I think anyone who has one is keeping it.

That thing is great. I would use that for Korean BBQ. OR mixed Turkish kebabs. Fun.
I would use the hell out of that pig.

I have the cow version - and would love to have the pig. I thought that if I competed this year, I could decorate the cook site with the piggy and cow grills and some chicken yard art.

I went to the ATM and got $40, waved it in his face and he declined. I sweetened the offer with the $15 more that was in my pocket and he still wouldn't get rid of it. I know that it wasn't worth nearly that but dangit, I just had to have it! I'm still bummed I didn't get it, even if I had paid $55 I would have been a happy camper. It's just so cool.
Maybe I'll pick up the terra cotta version at Cost Plus World Market. I'm pretty sure they're only $25 and it'd look really cool on my patio table.
I know what you mean. I've had that thing on my mind since you put it up. I've done a bunch of searching but to no avail & it's gonna be awhile till I'm near a Cracker Barrel again  and the chances of them having one around is slim at best.
But I did see a lot of different cool cast iron hibachis during the search - just not as cool as the pig.

Unfortunately it's not listed on the CB website, although I guess that doesn't mean that you can't still find it there.

When I was looking for a quality hibachi several years ago I saw that pig hibachi listed by an Ebay vendor among other types of hibachis he had available. I ended up getting a Lodge hibachi instead.

The Lodge hibachi is better in almost every way: It's heavier, it holds more coals, more meat, etc. However, it's not shaped like a pig!

Look on the box. See if it lists a manufacturer, etc. Then, contact them and see if
they still make it or happen to have a few hundred they couldn't off-load a few years

No manufacture info, just the Cracker Barrel logo.
It did have instructions for use. This was step 1
"Place 6-8 coals in grill and douse with lighter fluid, or use instant light coals." :tsk:
