This was a awesome event. For being a first year event it was ran perfectly and a half dozen donuts were a great treat on sat morning. The town seemed to put the cookers on a pedestal and were extremely happy for us being in their town.

Congratulations to Quau and One2bbq
Thanks to 4 smokin' butts for the 9:11
I was so disappointed in our results until I got home and entered the scores in my spreadsheet. Turns out my scores had beat my avgs or were at least close to them. Our overall was a lot better than I thought. I keep forgetting that just because you don't get a walk, doesn't mean you didn't cook good. Everyone was thrilled to have the teams come to Danville. With the response that was seen at this event, by the city, next year's event will hopefully be bigger and better. Thanks to all of those that competed.

OK, I have to ask. We only did 2 comps this year, but did the 9:22 become the 9:11? I have heard of both happening, and it seems kind of random? Heard that Rev Randy did a 9:22 at Murphysboro, anybody know what's up? or just "shooters choice?"

Sorry, returning to original subject:redface:

I took it as the 9:11 shot was to celebrate firemen, policemen and all first responders. I know my brother Greg who is my partner at all events, who do did 7 tours in Iraq and Afganistan and is now a shierff took it as such and we want to also thank 4 Smoking Butts for hosting the 9:11 shot. The gentleman jack tasted great!!!!

Didn't mean to imply there was anything wrong with it. Was just curious as when we started competing, in 2008, it was a 9:22, and since has morphed in some cases to a 9:11. I don't honestly know what the significance of 9:22 was.

I think a 9:11 is fine to show respect for our first responders, our military, etc. Just wasn't clear on when the shift began?
