Going to pick up a slow n sear for my 22 inch Weber kettle. They sell a bundle where you can get the roasting/drip pan with it. Cannot be used as a griddle over the hot section, which is fine. I have a Blackstone griddle so will not need that at all.

Anyone have one? Pros/cons? Should I just use a foil drip pan and be done with it? I’m thinking it would be good for things I wouldn’t want to put right on the grate, like a meatloaf or fish.

I have it and I love it. Catches all the grease and saves you dealing with the nasty gunk that builds at the bottom of your kettle. It's worth it if you just catch chicken grease which to me is the worst. Foil will work also but I prefer something solid to avoid a tear and grease splatter all over.

It is worth it. I have the SS one and have used it was a griddle a few times. But even if I had only ever used it as a drip pan it would be worth it. Just put some foil on it and it makes it easier.
