Peace, Love and Barbecue highlights the transformative experience that six barbecue enthusiasts encountered as they made a pilgrimage to 17th Street Barbecue in Murphysboro, Illinois. 17th Street Barbecue is home to Mike Mills, the 6th member inducted into the Barbecue Hall of Fame, and his daughter Amy Mills, author, entrepreneur and culinary expert. Murphysboro has been designated as Illinois' Barbecue Capital, and the cast members traveled from as near as St. Louis to as far as Birmingham, UK and Nova Scotia, Canada to learn from The Legend, his family and his team.
