Babbling Farker
Well a few weeks ago I did a thread using the Buffalo Wing rub I got from Owens for winning the Chuckie TD. I finally got to the Tatonka Dust today.
Smoked a pork tenderloin on the Weber MT with apple wood. Did one with Tatonka, one with my own KC style rub and threw a naked fatty on for good measure.
PRON below.
Rubbed...or dusted I guess. Bottom one with Tatonka
On the Weber
After about 1.5 hours at 250-260
Sliced
Great color. Unusual flavor profile and is not like anything I've had before. Was told it pairs well with pork and I can see why. Definitely a good contrast to the sweet brown sugar based rub I usually go with. Can't wait to try it on beef too!
Thanks again to Owens for the great prize pack. I'm having a ton of fun trying out all the goodies. Next time...jerky!!!
