My take on an Onion smash burger (lots of pics)

Ok.. let me ask this question Whats the difference between a burger and a smash burger.. except the fact you smash them on the grill? lol

When making a smash burger, you smash typically a small ball of meat when it’s raw, example I like a half pound burger but I would rather have three thin patties with the crust from the flat top on it, so I take a half pound of ground beef make three balls put parchment paper on smash it thin and it gets nice and crisp on the griddle, Flip the burger add cheese stack three of them and put them on a toasted bun.

All this smashburger talk made me start, now the Blackstone will get more use. Made them tonight for kids and grandkids, they went down fine. We used Munster pepperjack on top after the carmelized onions.
