My new knife (can you read Japanese?)

It's like watching subtitles. Unless you speak the language, you are going to miss out.

Here is what I really think it says:

"Since you read Japanese, you know that this section describes the history of how this knife came to be, as well as the lifetime warranty

Please tell any Non-Japanese speaking people who ask that it simply says "Quality Knife". That's all they need to know."

Congratulations on the new knife. I love Japanese knives as well, just be careful... it won't end there lol. I'd keep the german knives around for breaking down bones/cartilage/spatchcocking and use your Japanese knife for the more precise stuff.

I believe the knife says "Made in Pakistan using Chinese Steel"..:thumb:.

I have requested further clarification concerning box vs. knife text and should have you additional information in the AM.

Here's Mr. Inui's response concerning the knife along with the attachment.

"There are so many places to produce the knives.
The old Japanese Sword makers are now making many kinds of knives.
Although there is neither maker’s name nor production place on
the box and knife, I have finally found out the person who make the knife
and talked with him by phone.
The knife mentions the name of caster = KUROSAKI MAKOTO."

So now you know the "rest of the story"....:thumb:
