The wifey wanted Tri-tip for dinner tonight, but didn't want me to experiment, she wanted my "go to" Tri-tip recipe. lucky me, Tri-tip on sale for $3.99/lb this week! So rubbed lightly with Rub Co Competition rub, then a generous coating of Rub Co Santa Maria rub, and in the fridge for a few hours(the longer the better). Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures.

On the Weber with an indirect fire and a few chunks of Red Oak, to smoke for about 45 minutes.

Smoked until IT is 124.

Then directly over the coals until IT at 140

Next, a 20 minute rest.

Then slice against the grain and serve.

Pics were uploaded to my "user CP" albums. I did notice that the album wasn't checked "public" so I changed it to public. Hopefully that fixed it.?.
 
Got 'em now, looks good! Garlic bread will clean up that cutting board!
