I dont know much about meat prices.

Per lb

Pork butt steaks or roast 1.79

Beef short ribs 2.99

Whole tilapia 1.49
cut and clean 1.99

Whole "fryer" chicken 1.29

baby back ribs 2.99

pork loin 1.99

pork tenderloin 2.99

whole salmon 4.99

I'm honestly not sure what looks like the best deal on this list, but I'll say this: I dunno about up in Chicagoland, but down here that chicken price is TERRIBLE. I won't pay more than 0.98/lbs for whole chicken, often less than that though.

Awww comeon, Huntsville isn't Chicago, but it's not THAT rural :p (I feel qualified to say this having grown up in houston and having visited chicago). Back on topic: I'm tempted to say that pork loin is a decent deal, but it could be my memory playing tricks on me as I haven't bought pork loin in a while.

The pork steaks and the babybacks are both a pretty good deal.

I like the great price on the pork loin. That's cheap good sammie meat right there.

To me, this is all about dealing with the bones. Tilapia is similar to bluegill or sunfish,to me. I fry them scaled and headless, the bones are no problem.
