More than 35,000 pounds of raw ground beef has been recalled due to products that may contain "extraneous materials, specifically hard plastic," according to the USDA.
The raw ground beef items were produced on March 22 and shipped to distribution centers in Virginia and Indiana for distribution to retail locations.
The following products are part of the recall:

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 34176” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
"The problem was discovered after the firm received a complaint from a consumer who found blue, hard plastic pieces in one of the products," the USDA said. "There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider."
Consumers who have these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
