IronSide CDR First Impression and First Cook Live Thread

Congrats on the new cooker! I’ve been cooking on pellet assist for several years now and absolutely love it. Great combination of convenience and flavor profile.

One tip is to use smaller spilts otherwise it’s pretty easy to spike the temp over the pellet target temp. Also once split is lit, move it away from burn pot so that splits burns more slowly

Awesome and thanks for the update. I'm a big fan of Ironside as I love their concepts and innovation. I was looking at a MULE for my BBQ business, but now that I've sold the business I think a CDR is the more reasonable choice. As much as I'm not a "pellet guy" I do like the combination idea of wood splits and pellets.

Please keep us posted on future cooks / results.
