Hi folks!
Coming to you from Wayne & Garths hometown of Aurora, IL. Excellent!
Always loved to grill but just bought my first smoker last summer after my wife and i purchased a home. I didn't get alot of time last summer to smoke but I did get around to doing the basics, ribs, chicken, & pork belly. Looking forward to smoking all that and some brisket and pork butts this summer.
I own a char griller offset that I made some modifications to this winter. Added some high temp FDA silicone to seal the lid along with some clamps. Added a 2nd thermometer at grate level and then threw some high temp paint on there for aesthetics. I also put a trailer jack on there for moving it around from the garage to the back of the house. Im looking to add another grate level thermometer as well as some fire bricks and baffle plates. (we installed new countertops and I took the sink cut out to use as a larger side shelf because the factory one was too small and got crowded easily)
Been lurking here all winter trying to pick up some tips and tricks and defintely can't wait for some warmer weather to get my grill fired up!
