After posting a thread asking for help locating a 55 gal drum here in my neck of the woods, I'd like to say thanks to all the kind brethren who helped me, even being so kind as to offer me their extra barrels. Well, I'm back again with some more questions. I got lucky yesterday looking through the classified section of one of my local papers and stumbled upon a guy who has plenty of barrels. He said he has just what I'm looking for especially if I'm using them to build a smoker. Problem is, is that there are different size 55 gal drums, different height, different diameters,. So, the question is witch would be my best choice, what diameter do I want if I want to put a Weber lid on it? What is the best height? This will be my first UDS build So I would like to learn on something fairly easy. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. :thumb:
