Welcome to the 2012 GLBBQA team of the year program!

I am excited to announce that I will be your TOY Czar again for the 2012 season. There is going to be a couple of changes this year.
GLBBQA Members do not have to fill out the entry form to be included the program.
As long as you stay current on your dues you are eligible to receive TOY points. If there is a competition while your membership is expired you will not receive TOY points.
Instead of using the KCBS totals as the points used, we are going to use a point system of 1 - 20.
If any ties occur, they will be resolved by using the highest KCBS point total for that particular category and if that does not resolve it we will go down the list until the tie is broken.

The winner of each category (overall, chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket) is determined by the three highest cumulative scores for that particular category in a KCBS sanctioned event.
Team A - 1st (20pts), 15th (6pts), 5th (16pts) = 42pts
Team B - 12th (9pts), 13th (8pts), and 1st (20pts) = 37pts

There is a $1000 purse to be divided up as follows:

Grand Champion: $200
Ribs: $150
Chicken: $150
Pork: $150
Brisket: $150
Shot in the dark: $50 (this is the highest score of the season in each category)

Here are the final results of the year. It has been a very busy year for me with a ton of stuff going on, and I thank everyone for being patient with me on getting the results listed. If anyone is interested in being the ToY czar for 2013 please submit your resume to the BoD.
