somebody shut me the fark up.
I take a break from logging some overtime in the sim on this Saturday morning. I'm "in the seat" with a student pilot, working on his instrument approaches and visual patterns at Roswell, NM - KROW. No aliens observed. Boo.
CINCHOUSE had texted me while I was having fun... er, I mean... working hard and instructing the next generation.
"What do we do for dinner?"
"What if you thaw and marinate some chicken thighs in the new batch of Charlie Mills BBQ Sauce? I'll grab some corn on the cob for elotes, and I'll see if I can grab an heirloom tomato for slicing."
"Deal."
Once the thighs were on the kettle, around the Vortex, I hit them with rub:
- 2 of 'em got Everglades Cactus Dust
- 2 of 'em got Uncle Yammy's
Gotta get ready for the Elotes. Naturiffic New Mexico got the call on this one. Mixed some up with Duke's Mayo and lime juice as the slather.
Slather the corn, and back around the rim of the Vortex they go for a little char.
Brought the Elotes in and sprinkled them with finely grated Cotija cheese.
CINCHOUSE sliced up the heirloom 'mater and sprinkled on some really excellent sea/finishing salt.
Dinner is served.
