Contest Announcment Bare Bones BBQ - Pass Christian, MS (10/28-29)

The organizers of this contest, Gulf Coast Filmworks, recently decided to add a KCBS BBQ contest to their Carnaval et fete de Rue in Pass Christian, MS. Unfortunately, they were within the 90 day deadline to apply for a sanctioned KCBS contest so this year they are holding a licensed contest. This means that the contest is not eligible for Jack or Royal qualification. Otherwise, this will be held just like any other KCBS contest. The contest will be held on Saturday and Sunday in Pass Christian. The Carnaval is taking place in 3 cities over 8 days. In Pass Christian they will have bands and a craft beer festival but they also plan to have a lot of activities for the kids including a kid's movie on Saturday evening around 7:30 followed by a Haunted Boat Parade on the river right at the stage as well as games, costume story telling and play areas. There are opportunities for BBQ Vendors as well. They plan to hold a sanctioned contest next year.
