My aunt has a couple of smaller storm damaged trees, an apple and Bradford pear. I'm gonna cut them up and store in my shed until good and
dry. Does anyone know the difference in the way the wood or tree bark looks so I can tell the difference? I know pear has a very white interior wood and I'm guessing apple will be darker in color?

You know, we used to have both in back of our place, but I just can't remember. Flavors are similar. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

I'm pretty sure the apple bark will be much smoother, like cherry.
I have Bradford pear and the bark is very linear, vertically,
and kinda rough.
