American Barbeque systems (ABS) has anyone ever used theirs's without the rotisserie

I just bought an ABS Pitboss from my pastor and the motor is bad-I knew it was. He said that he has tried it without the rotisserie and it didn't work so good. Have any of you tried this? I'd be curious to hear any of your experiences with an ABS smoker also.

Not gonna happen...if I remember correctly the fire box is all along the backside and there are no shelves, so how you place any meats?
Personally I always wanted one and set it up to be a pellet pooper.
Now's your chance to be a BBQ hero and invent a home run hitter.
