Hey Folks,
Just giving you an update. Depending on what website or station you monitor, the chance of rain during our event Friday night and Saturday is anywhere from 40%-60%. Of course, it probably changes every time I look. With that said, a little rain is not gonna get in the way of a whole lotta fun. We could still use a few judges so if you know of any not doing anything Saturday, please send them our way. I’d like to encourage each of you to enter the Riceland Rice Cook-Off Friday night if you haven’t already. Its FREE to enter but the Grand Champion wins $500 and both division winners receive $250. The rice can be cooked off site before you get here as to not interfere with the BBQ contest.
Friday Night
5pm is the cooks meeting.
6pm is the turn in for the rice. There will be blind judging.
7pm will be the Fish Fry dinner along with the awards ceremony.
Saturday
Chicken turn in is Noon.
Ribs turn in is 12:30.
Pork turn in is 1:00.
Brisket is 1:30.
People’s Choice begins at 1:45.

Cost
Crawfish - $20 a sack (roughly 4+lbs).
Beer - $3 a beer
Cokes - $1 a can.
Carnival - $1 per ticket. Each ride takes 2-3 tickets. Another option is 22 tickets for $20.
