Folks I need some ideas on what to line the inside of a Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 firebox (that makes contact with the charcoal and wood) in order to prolong the life of the firebox. Can anyone identify this lining, and if it is gonna give me hell? I have an opportunity to purchase 5 of them for UDS builds. It looks like the "tan" lining everyone refers to, but I am not 100% sure... http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd379/dbiocchi/barrell.jpg

So what's the verdict on using oven cleaner to get rid of the red liner for a UDS. I've searched all 56,405,203 pages of the UDS thread and there's not much of a consensus. Does it work???
