I picked up an old rusted hitch rack that needed some TLC from Marketplace on the cheap. I figured that would be my best bet to get my Karubecue and cooler to join us with my wife's smaller crossover.

A pic of the restored hitch rack with everything loaded up.

A couple different stuffed pork tenderloins that came off the KBQ. One was a Caribbean flavored with cream cheese, spinach, roasted red peppers, and bacon. The other one was parmesan garlic flavored with cream cheese, spinach, roasted peppers, bacon, and sauteed mushrooms.

Some homemade mac and cheese for the side.

A fun time had by all!

Nice to see the KBQ in the wild. I need to use mine more, as soon as I get an opportunity when the fire ban is lifted :icon_shy

That's too bad about the fire ban. Dang. Super cool to hear from another KBQ person!

I cleaned and detailed KBQ real good before putting her away in the shed for the winter. (The head unit stayed inside) I live in MN. I don't trust the cold/rain/snow. The electric fans on my temp controllers for my other grills don't like the cold weather. I'm sure the KBQ wouldn't skip a beat but I'm not willing to take the risk when I have another grill/smoker better suited for the extreme cold. So it was first time taking it out of the shed since last fall. (Sad I know) It felt good getting her up and running once again. I'll be using it again for a rib competition in a few weeks and a couple times in between for practice. My hope anyway!

I keep mine inside as well - one of the benefits of the small footprint :thumb:

A few months ago I stripped a thread trying to clean the impellers (did not read manual, left hand thread ) - ended up talking to Bill and he even called me back on Saturday. He send me some replacement parts at minimal cost and luckily it was an easy fix. Great guy!

It could have been worse but despite not using it as much as I’d like I would bought the replacement control box if it came to that. Such a cool little smoker :clap2:

Wow, I've seen the name before but never knew what it was. That's a pretty cool cooker! That thing is all about small and getting it done. I just watched a utube video of it. I'm sold. I want one.

Nice cook, and thanks for sharing!

Pretty cool to travel with a cooker so you can continue to eat great food! BTW, the above pic would be a great entry in our "Summer Cookouts" Throwdown! You can enter here:

Very nice! I love my KBQ. I keep eyeballing these offsets from Millscale and Franklin, but can't justify getting yet another smoker since my KBQ cranks out awesome food with very very little effort.

I store the motor unit indoors. The rest sits outside under a cheapo cover from amazon.

Yeah, it's easy to forget those are left handed threads. I bought mine second hand for a price I couldn't resist. I made sure to track down the manual just to keep everything on the up and up. I'm glad I did. A valuable manual with lots of good information. I emailed Bill with a question about using a particular type of oven cleaner with it and I had a response within a couple hours. Top notch service!

Thank you!

The KBQ has a small footprint which is nice for storing or for a place that's permanent. It can handle a good amount of food given its size. Our family friend who hosted us for the weekend really took a liking to it. He wrote down the name of the Karubecue and also plans on looking up YouTube videos on it.

I don't have a Millscale or Franklin pit but I have collected a couple other offsets. I really enjoy playing around with the offsets but there's something different about the KBQ that makes it almost mysterious. You won't find anything else on the market like it. Which is fun all on its own!
