Talking Some very tasty dove and venison kabobs

Ross so kindly sent some of his Holy Smokin Chipotle rub to try out awhile back and I finally had the chance to give it a try. (thank you again Ross!!)

I also received a package of Cinnamon Chipotle from Bill at The Black Eyed Pigz...(thank you Bill)
So I tried the rubs at the same time.





I used some backstrap from this season...

cubed the meat...
I like to cut the venison twice as thick as the dove, they will come out great. The dove is cooked and the venison is still pink in the center. :)



dove from this fall season..
deboned the breasts...





let the venison and dove sit in the rub for about an hour.. ( I was busy with other stuff :))

The cinnamon chipotle venison and dove from Black Eyed Pigz..I have not tried a cinnamon rub before and didn't know what to expect. It was different but soooo tasty!



Ross' Holy Smokin' Chipotle... you can see the color difference from the spices...
It was sooooo good Ross!! It had a kick but not too hot for me, It was just right!! Thank you again. I can't wait to try this on chicken, beef and pork. :)

I have never eaten Dove meat, what does it taste like?
We had a Dove hunting season for one year, then the PETA folks got it repealed here.
