Default Cupcake Chicken, Breast?

I want to try these and all i have seen done are the thighs. I like the thighs and wife likes the breast.
Has anybody tried it with chicken breast? If so, please elaborate.

Well I don't think you could fit a whole chicken breast in a muffin pan for starters.

Bama Rambler I have never done any Cupcake Chicken Thighs before, but I would go to Brother Thirdeye's site and look at how he does those Chicken Thighs...I would think that the Breast can be cooked in the same manner as the Thighs!!! However I would cut the breast up... Peppa

The muffin pan is simply there to make a uniform shape. Why bother doing that at home?

It's possible nobody has ever done this with a breast before. Honestly, as far as i know, the only people doing cupcake chicken do it for comps, or try it once or twice just to see what the fuss is about. It's more work than it's worth really, but any amount of work is justifiable when there is a score to be had and money to be won. I don't think comp folks are that interested in doing this with less flavorful breast meat as opposed to the more flavorful thigh meat.

Just my opinion, I could be way off and someone will be here to tell me how much they do this with breasts and how much more flavorful they are. There's always someone.

All that said however, you should do this and let us know. I think it sounds like it could be interesting, and now that you've got people thinking about it I'm sure some folks would be very interested to hear how well it works.

Thanks bigabyte for your input and info. I just checked out ThirdEye's site and there is a lot great information there.
I will post my cook results of the thighs and the breast.

You can do this with other pieces. I won't say too much, as it's one of Myron's subjects he teaches you about, but there's more to the cupcake tin than just shaping it.

It's my understanding though, that if you buy a cupcake tin from Jack's Old South, Myron includes his recipe.
