Yazoo's Delta Q has worked for years perfecting their World Championship BBQ techniques and recipes. We are now giving you the opportunity to see our methods first hand, get the recipes, and walk through our entire cooking process.
Our two day class goes over all the ins and outs of cooking in a MBN contest: Whole Hog, Shoulders and Ribs, timing, competion set up; as well as perfecting meats for a KCBS contest: pork, ribs, chicken, and brisket. We teach everything you will need to compete and win in a BBQ competition.
THE ULTIMATE PRIVATE BBQ SCHOOL!
Want the Full-Blown Contest experience? Want to be able to see how to run a successful, winning contest? At certain contests on the circuit, we allow one to two people to cook with us. You will be involved in every aspect of set-up, meat prep, cooking, and presentations and can see the "behind the scenes" first hand look at cooking a BBQ contest. This is an intense, inner look at how to win and is reserved for the serious competitor. Prices vary according to the sanctioning group and location.
Most classes include a meal.
Hance - Lake Dogs Cooking Team - MiM/MBN/GBA CBJ and comp cook
Lake Sinclair, GA (strategically about an hour from darn near anywhere)
Started competing in chili cookoffs back in the 1990's and have competed in more than I care to count. I became a CBJ in MiM in 2005, then MBN and in GBA in 2010. I've probably judged 130+- BBQ comps (sanctioned and unsanctioned) over this time. That said, I really enjoy competing more than I enjoy judging, and hope to get back to doing 4 or 5 a year in the near future.
