Default Little Chief Smoker

So I am driving up to Mass this weekend from Florida to visit family for the holidays.
Anyway I found this add on Craigslist up in Mass and it looks like something I would like to add to my arsenal.
I have never used an electric but know others that use them on lazy days and like them.
So anyway, I know if I did some searching here I could find info on it.
Time is just not on my side right now.
Good buy, Bad buy?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

Here is the add:

I've heard of them but don't know much about one. Can't be too bad at that price.

Don't have a definitive answer for ya but anyway, the Cl smoker was purchased in '79, they want 40 beans, and it's 30 years old. A new one is 75 for a 15 lb'er, and 93 for a 25 lb'er. I'd offer less and see what slides.

There are a couple of guys here that have one and I'm sure that they will chime in soon. As i recall, it is mainly a fish smoker. I don't think it will be of much use for BBQ, but i could be wrong.

I got one. I use it to smoke cheese, but I use my Pro Q Cold Smoke Generator in it. Works better...

They are good for cold smoking ie. salmon, cheese and jerky.
I have one, don't use it much anymore.
I do not know if you plan on cooking other things like pork butts, briskets or ribs in it or not.
If so, I would say pass.
An ugly drum smoker would be a better smoker for sure.

It is my go-to Salmon and cheese smoker.

If you get a instruction book with it, there are recipes for a lot of items that can be smoked on the Little Chief then finished off on a grill or oven. But it is a cold smoker.
