Every time potatoes or roots come up, I want potato skins. It's what I want, but figure everyone else is going to make some. Well, I decided to make them this time and subject the family to some potato skins. I began by baking potatoes in the Oval:



After about 2 hours at 300*, I took these off, and hollowed out "the filler." I put them back on with some bacon:



I then began stuffing them. Personally, I like a helping of pulled pork in them



I then used sharp cheddar and topped with sour cream, pimento, bacon, and green onion:

Yep, I think I'm already whooped in this one but, I love me some taters so, I figured what the heck and did an entry anyway.
I decided to make good ole Trash Bag Taters with sausage.
To keep it short and sweet, I took this stuff.

Then chopped up the non-meat parts, added a bell pepper, a stick of butter, and some rub, all wrapped up together in some tinfoil.

Here it all is cooking away!

It cooked on the OTG for a good 30 minutes. I kept moving around the potatoes every 10 minutes. The Sausage was flipped but cooked indirectly the whole time. When it was all done, I tossed the potatoes into a bowl then sliced up the sausage and threw it in with the potatoes. A quick toss and voila!

Truth be told, it was pretty darn good straight out of the bowl but, a little BBQ Sauce never hurts. (Please use either of these two for my entry pic, THANKS!)

This was a nice take on a classic and was total comfort food that hit the spot.
