Default First cook in battle box

Did my first cookin in the box. 6 butts then 4 fresh hams. 12 hrs on 13 lbs of charcoal for the butts then threw in 10 lbs of charcoal for the hams had her running for 27 hrs straight not bad gor the first cook

No guru. I do plan on getting one for the hell of it. Only hiccup was getting it to temp. I used cold water instead of hot

Yeah they do take a while to get up to temp, even with the guru. I've been starting mine with the daisy wheel open, then once it gets up close to 200° I close the daisy and let the guru take over.
